    Ryu Soo Young commence en 1989 dans une émission de télé en tant qu'étudiant en cuisine. Ryu fait son service militaire en ant que membre de l'Agence de police métropolitaine de Séoul de 2008 à 2010. En 2011, il retourne vers l'actorat avec "My Princess". Ryu Soo Young et sa co-star de Two Weeks, Park Ha Sun, se marient le 22 janvier 2017 et donne naissance à leur fille au mois d'aout 2017 (le23)
